PJOTR

For national government & municipalities

The Dutch labor market suffers from imbalances caused by aging and de-greening, in addition to the need for economic growth to support social services and ensure general prosperity. To maintain these social services, an influx of labor from abroad is essential. Labor migration is often equated with abuse and exploitation and is seen as one of the causes of various social problems in the Netherlands.

A number of reports have now appeared from the government with recommendations combined with legislation. For one of the most important recommendations - regulation and enforcement - PJOTR offers municipalities the possibility to organize the Registration Non-Resident digitally.

The platform works only with registered employment agencies affiliated with a recognized industry organization. Through the platform, municipalities can directly reach the labor migrant, for instance in terms of registration. In addition, the registration of labor migrants within the municipality is, as far as possible, digitized within the platform. This guarantees more registrations at minimal fixed costs. If desired, municipalities can also use PJOTR as a direct information and communication channel and provide the international employees with information important to them so that their work experience in the Netherlands is positive.
